My goodness, it's amazing how a month can slip by before you even know it! I've neglected my poor Captain's Log for much too long, and it's time to renew my commitment to posting regularly.

Life has been good, just very busy! This weekend I decided not to pursue the more research-oriented Ph.D. that a few people had suggested I look at, and decided to stick with my original decision and get my clinical doctorate instead. I'm still playing with the idea of going to med school afterward, too. (And I've decided already that whatever kind of doctor I end up being, there is going to be a big poster of the TARDIS in my office. I simply must take advantage of being a real Doctor.)

I've also really enjoyed the kickoff of the 2014 FIFA World Cup this week! I know several people who come from some of the countries playing, which has made Facebook rather interesting the last few days.  ;-)  I'm super excited for my team to play Ghana tomorrow!!

This coming week is going to be busier than ever, but I'm definitely going to try to post more often again - daily if possible.  :-)  In the meantime, enjoy this beautiful, ethereal song:
