¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo! Today was a beautiful sunshiney day, with intermittent cloud cover (which you can see in my photos that I snapped this evening) and a sweet, fresh breeze. Unfortunately, I felt really yucky for most of it ... thankfully, I'm feeling a little better this evening, just tired. So after I get a start on my English paper, I'll head for bed.  :-)

This afternoon, I said goodbye to a dear graduating friend and colleague with whom I've worked for over a year, and knowing that I will almost certainly never see him again made me realize soberly that the end of my undergraduate years is almost upon me. There are many other friends who are preparing to graduate and move far away from me, too, and unless a Muppet movie is in my future, which I doubt, I may never see them again either. I pray that I have left a good impression on them, a "a sweet savor of Christ" that will linger with them and lead them to God. Knowing myself, I have grave doubts that this is the case, but I very much hope that God was able to work through me despite my shortcomings.

I also seized one of my un-feverish moments this evening to do my second day of exercises. Yay! Here is what I did, all with a 3-pound dumbbell:

- 80+ tricep presses and kickbacks
- 30 bicep curls
- 10 forearm curls
- 20 chest presses
- 10 crunches
- 35-second plank

I know that's not very much, and my weight is pretty wimpy, but I'm still learning, and my triceps and biceps feel pretty worn out, which is good! I'm eager to try a 40-second plank tomorrow when I'm feeling better.

Well, I'd better try to sketch out an outline for my English paper so I can get some sleep. I hope you had a lovely day with some sunshine as well!  :-)

Hugs,
Vicki

Awww... sorry you were feeling bad. Justin and I have been suffering through a cold here. I pray you are on the mend now! And way to go on the exercise! And no amount is "wimpy" when you give it your all, and try your best! :D

Have a wonderful day my friend!
Love In Christ,
Angel
