Can I just be spontaneous for a second and say how glad I am to belong to the Lord?
I was feeling stressed this afternoon about everything I need to get through to get into grad school (some of my deadlines were unexpectedly moved up by more than 2 months); I was thinking about the two sweet girls I got to spend time with and witness to last week; I was thinking about the messy, complicated relationships that so many people are in; and it was tempting to feel overwhelmed and kind of frightened about everything that is going on in my life and in the world.
But the Lord came to me, so gently, and reminded me that He carries the lambs in His arms, that He goes before me everywhere I go, and that He is teaching and molding me carefully and masterfully into the woman He wants me to be. And instead of worry and fear, I was filled with peace and joy.
My Father, what would I do if I didn't have You?
